Daniel Richter: Techno Warrior
GRIMM is pleased to announce TECHNO WARRIOR, the second solo show at the gallery of German artist Daniel Richter. The exhibition includes new paintings and works on paper, including his largest painting yet of 3,5 by 6,5 meters.
A few years ago Richter’s work referenced social unrest with cityscapes that appeared to be burned into the canvas and portraits of people at the fringe of society. In this new series of works, the artist has revisited a calmer look with lonely figures in desolate landscapes.
Daniel Richter (1962, Futin, Germany) lives and works in Berlin and Hamburg and is one of the top German contemporary painters. He came to fame in the Netherlands in 2007 with a large solo exhibition at the GEM in The Hague.
