GRIMM opens in New York
17 May 2017 - 02 June 2017
GRIMM is proud to announce the opening of an exhibition space in New York on June 2nd. The gallery will be located on the Lower East Side at 202 Bowery.
We look forward to presenting upcoming exhibitions by Nick van Woert (US, 1979), Dana Lixenberg (NL, 1964), William Monk (UK, 1977), Desiree Dolron (NL, 1963), Elizabeth Price (UK, 1966), Ger van Elk (NL, 1941-2014), Charles Avery (UK, 1973), Adriano Amaral (BR, 1982), Alex Dordoy (UK, 1985) and Caroline Walker (UK, 1982), as well as exhibitions by many other artists from our program.
As a gallery we take a long-term view, together with many of our peers and colleagues. Contrary to current sentiment, we strongly believe that a physical space is still the foremost crucial asset to further and nurture an artist’s development and career. By expanding to New York we provide our artists with a platform to exhibit in the most important centre of the art world and we aim to ambitiously develop our program.
The gallery will have 2,300 sq. feet of exhibition space on the ground floor and 1,000 sq. feet of exhibition space on the lower level. We will open with a solo exhibition by Nick van Woert on June 2nd. A detailed press release will follow shortly.
