Matthias Weischer: Twenty-Five Years of Paintings is a major monograph surveying works from 2000 to 2025 of the acclaimed Leipzig-based artist’s work. The publication features hundreds of high-quality reproductions chosen in close dialogue with the artist. Texts, essays and interviews are provided by thirteen international contributors, from museum directors, curators and art historians to philosophers, musicologists and novelists. Throughout the publication, paintings explore interiors and landscapes, reality and illusion, presence and absence from one of the leading figures of the New Leipzig School of painters.
