Residency Val Croissant is a gallery initiative based on the premise that inspiration comes from change: Of location and environment, of space and cultural influence. Our aim is to provide a third place for our artistic community, a home away from home for gallery artists, writers and curators, located in the heart of the Provence, France. A residency flexible on time and planning.
The 18th-century château has 8000 square feet of living and working space, divided over twenty rooms, five of which are intended and prepared for studio use. Up to five residents and their families can stay at any given time, while keeping rooms available for people visiting for shorter stays.
The house and its neoclassical gardens are connected to a 17-acre site which includes a pool, a tennis court and lavender fields. Situated in an area brimming with cultural activity, the aim is to fully integrate the resident experience within the region's broader cultural context.
