"Display V" (2025) by Tommy Harrison acquired by Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami

GRIMM is delighted to announce the recent acquisition of Display V (2025) by Tommy Harrison to the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami, FL (US).

The painting was selected from his solo exhibition Commonplace, presented at the Iris Art Museum, Suzhou (CN), earlier this year. Attuned to the historical and classical foundations of painting, Harrison continues to explore his interest in religious and cultural iconography, alongside elements drawn from his immediate surroundings, imbuing overlapping compositions with motifs and carefully composed textures; for him, moments severed from their referent begin to produce a visual intensity of the peculiar.
