GRIMM is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of Trinkerin (2025) by Louise Giovanelli to the collection of Museum Voorlinden in Wassenaar (NL).
The painting is part of a series inspired by iconic films including Ticket of No Return (1979), The Brown Bunny (2003), and Kids (1995). Trinkerin was first exhibited in Giovanelli’s solo show Still Moving at GRIMM New York. For the artist, painting serves as a way to slow time—transforming the act of looking into a meditative, filmic experience with the potential for psychological depth and transformation.
To accompany the exhibition, Giovanelli curated a selection of four films that are being screened concurrently at Metrograph for the duration of the show.
