GRIMM is delighted to announce our participation in the 2024 edition of Zona Maco from 7 – 11 February 2024, featuring a joint presentation of new works by Peruvian artists Claudia Martínez Garay (b. 1983) and Arturo Kameya (b. 1984).
Throughout their respective oeuvres, Martínez Garay and Kameya contemplate the socio-political complexity of their country of origin, connecting histories and traditions with current events. They both interweave a wide range of thematic frameworks to create constellations that question the plasticity of history and cultural identity. Their references to Andean iconography and artistic practices lends itself to a poignant dialogue between each of their work.
