Volker Hüller: “AHNEN”

In presence of the artist, GRIMM is pleased to announce “AHNEN”, the second solo exhibition at the gallery with new work by German artist Volker Hueller. For his second solo exhibition at Grimm, Volker Hueller(1976) shows a series of new paintings and sculptures.

Hueller’s work, while almost abstract, plays with three-dimensionality, figurative elements and shapes and forms derived from such diverse influences as surrealism and die Brücke. His sculptures are often done in clay and portray abstracted character-actors. These figures also populate the paintings and works on paper.
