Grimm Fine Art is pleased to present British artist Ross Tibbles in his first solo show outside the UK.

Ross Tibbles creates assemblages out of found materials: old magazines, books and newspapers, cd-covers, advertisements you may recognise and maybe a painting of De Kooning or Titian. Continually pinning, moving and exchanging the images over several months, Tibbles moves gradually towards the work’s natural resolution. Fragmented and dislocated from their original context, they begin to reference the laying out of finds on an archeological site. Similarly, the white spaces between the images in each of the works suggest the difficulties in remapping the past and the incomplete nature of memory and our fundamental inability to accurately recall precise experiences or facts.
